About KART

More than an event,

it’s an experience

Kongo Artelier (KART) is a travelling art experience bringing people together through creativity, culture and connection.

We create art experiences that invite people to slow down, get creative and experience something a little different. From our signature Sip & Paints to workshops, social experiences, private events and creative collaborations, KART turns everyday spaces into places for expression and connection.

A large indoor party or art event space set up with multiple tables covered with black tablecloths, each with small canvases on easels, paint supplies, and glasses of water. There are decorative hanging bunting in red and teal, string lights, greenery, and a few people standing and socializing in the background.

Our Story

Born from a love of art, culture & community.

Kongo Artelier was created with a simple idea:ashould be experienced, not just observed.

We wanted to create spaces where people could put their phones down, pick up a paintbrush, meet someone new, share a drink and make something of their own.

What started as intimate creative gatherings has grown into a travelling experience that moves across South Africa, the Congo and Dubai, bringing our unique approach to art and social connection wherever we go.

Every KART experience is designed to feel welcoming, expressive and a little unexpected.

WHAT WE DO

We bring the art to you.

KART creates and curates experiences for different kinds of moments.

Our Philosophy

Creativity is for everyone. You don’t need to be an artist to enjoy art. You don’t need perfect technique, an art degree or years of experience. You just need a little curiosity and a willingness to create. At KART, the process matters more than the finished canvas. It’s about the conversation, the music, the colours, the people you meet and the memory you leave with. Because sometimes the best thing you create isn’t the painting. It’s the experience.

WHERE WE GO

From Johannesburg to Dubai and beyond.

Kongo Artelier is intentionally not tied to one location.

We are a travelling art experience, bringing our events and creative energy to different cities, spaces and communities.

SOUTH AFRICA
Where our journey continues to grow.

A tall modern skyscraper with a unique architectural design in an urban area. People are walking and gathering in the square in front of the building, some near a fountain and a statue of a lion. There are trees and a sunset sky in the background.

KINSHASA
Connecting with our roots and creating experiences across borders.

Skyline view of Burj Khalifa towering over modern buildings with palm trees in the foreground and a water feature at the base.

DUBAI
Taking the KART experience to a global audience.

And wherever creativity calls us next.

Some individuals are focusing on their artwork, while three women smile at the camera in the foreground. THE KART EXPERIENCE

A KART experience might begin with a blank canvas, but it rarely ends there.

There might be a new friend, a new favourite drink, an unexpected conversation, a terrible painting that somehow becomes your favourite thing, or simply a few hours where you got to switch off and create.

That’s KART.

Come for the art.

Stay for the experience.
